How to create promo codes?

Promo codes can be used for promotions and packages, or to entice customers to return by offering discounts. These codes have several levels of configuration including restrictions on travel dates, redemption limits, and percentage or fixed-value discounts.

Step 1: click inventory on the left side of the page

Step 2: click my promo code

Step 3: click new promo code

Step 4: enter the code

Step 5: choose the limit of applying promo code needed or not

Step 6: if needed enter the max limit of the promo code can be applied

Step 7: set the promo code status enabled or disabled

Step 8: set applied once per

·         Order: discount is applied only once per order

·         Product: discount is applied once per eligible product (e.g. A booking with multiple products)

Step 9: select validate date (this will be matched against the date a new booking is made.)

Step 10: select the travel date (this will be matched against the travel date of the bookings made)

Step 11: enter the minimum amount

The promo code will only be valid for orders above that amount.

Step 12: tick the check box of taxes and fees (f checked, taxes will be calculated on the discounted amount. If not checked, taxes will be calculated on the full amount without discount.)

Step 13: tick the check box for extras (if checked, discount will also be applied to the extra amount. If not checked, discount will only be applied to the product amount.)

Step 14: choose the discount type

These are of two types

·         Fixed: fixed amount given is discounted from the total amount.

·         Percentage: a percentage of the total amount is discounted.

Step 15:  enter the discount amount

Step 16: apply for

·         For one product

Do you want this promo code to be used as a payment method for a specific product

·         For any product

    if you want this promo code to be used as a payment method for the whole shopping cart.

·         For products within a category.

    this promo code is applicable to a specific category.

Step 17: enter any notes for the promo code

Step 18: click on the save button.
